Obligatory New Year Post

Finally after an almost 40 days hiatus, during which I embarked on a self-searching journey, a new look is presented.

As we sing auld lang syne to the year of 2008, moments must be spent reflecting on the issues that happened in the year of the rat. The ups and downs, the lefts and straights and etc, the people we meet, the people we wish not to be acquainted with.. All these contributes to a year's worth of memory.

New Year Resolutions? As Yin Foong said, why make them when you know you will break them. A long year lies ahead, and the only constant is change. Dates aren't important in the eternity of a lifetime; only the sense of time, or the recognition of time passing is crucial in this case. A year is merely a measure of time. As with seconds, minutes, centuries. What makes time time is the memory, or the images associated with it.

A last day of Semester #1..

has ended, with torrential rain in(at least)the western part of the little island i lived on.

Well, minus some minute irrelevant details about having some tutorial classes on the coming friday and lectures which i normally will forgo(which comes to wonder why am i paying school fees anyway), it doesn't seem like a "last day of the semester" day.

My "last day of the semester" day:

Teacher: Thank you for all the times we have spent together. Although we had a short term together, I hope that it will be fun and enriching. Now, Class Dismissed!

Girl B: Yeah..Now we will go our separate ways. It is kinda sad but..

Ironically, this was during a lecture. But I had the most fun during german lessons, not counting tests. At least i need not see numbers smaller than 1 or larger than 1000, = signs, INTEGRATION signs. I rather see ä ö ü and ß over them. At least there are interactions between the lecturer/tutor and students, not just some one way traffic.

The long overdue update #1

After getting bored with Deutsch Hausaufgabe,"Was machen Sie am Wochenende"(which means What do I do over the weekend?), I've decided to post the pics of .......Adventures of chee and I in Sunset Way!

A rest for a longer journey ahead

A time to catch up on lost sleep, lost tutorials, forgotten knowledge. Lost links also ?

I wonder how many more of such rest lies ahead of my life. Perhaps a lot more during these years of schooling. Perhaps less. Have to see what lies ahead of me, and if i choose to let them cross paths with me.

People always say a rest for a longer journey. Weariness spoils the body and the mind. Maybe i am tired already. For lack of a better word, just tired. Not from work, not from anything else. But simply, tired because of the lack of drive in my current direction. Am I really resting for a longer journey in this direction because of "the endless tutorials, lectures, labs, travelling, yadda yadda" ?

I've always questioned myself: What do i look forward to?

Bleah. Just easier to continue what i am doing. Just easier to hide in my turtle shell, feel dejected, feel lousy, feel the failure.

Just my serious lack of self confidence acting up once again. And the procrastination that comes along as a package. Double whammy. Double Combo.

Rest. A time to research. Re-Search Myself.

Busy,busy, and busy

I AM RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!!

ok to summarise,

1) The dreaded SS test is tml. No surprises as to whether i had prepared for it or not.
2) German quiz is tml too!
3) Didn't touch the tut that were intended for this week
4) Don't understand what Jay-in Jay-out is talking about

And therefore which comes to my next point:

5) I am procrastinating and leaving everything to recess week. Yippie.

And for now, back to staring at my ss notes.
( and i am typing this on the 4 days old T400. :) )

Evalution of my current life

1) Still watch anime/jdoramas regularly. At least an hour a day regardless of how busy/how much work i have.
2) If in school, go to Lectures/Tutorials ( often late ), listen to what the tutors/lecturers had to say (withholding that part of understanding), zhao off to next lecture/tutorial/home/makan/ and occasionally library!
3) Talking about in school, sticks with KS for 2 days of the week ( Monday,Wednesday ),chee and derr(tuesday, or maybe thursday), Foolscrap gang(the rest, more of convenience rather than choice..sadly.)

/me doesn't feel any attachment to nus. Mostly hi-bye acquaintances/talk-cock ppl. =(
/me is bored.
4) Library is a good place to sleep.......and mug. Very condusive. (they should open it 24 hrs. in that way i seriously comtemplate myself staying over in the library and have a 36 or 48hr marathon study session. Anyone wants to join me? Of course i need that damn T400)
5)Look at how bored i am



6) Guess i need a cca.
7) Currently training for stan chart. I need to somehow run at least 30km one shot before 7.12.08. Current max mileage: 5.6 km. Woot
8) And ippt is 25 days away
9) AND I NEED TO MUG now. bye

Finally...School! and the rush for it.

Finally the sweet taste of schooling draws near.. and approximately 9 hours later i will be having my first lecture in 2 years time. And I mention again, why do they have to assign the first lecture of the first semester at an obscenely early timing of 8am ?
Bleah. LLST lor.

Anyway, I haven't been prepared much for school, so I have to do a last minute rush for everything.. and that includes...


a gold membership into the foolscrap gang

2 5-bundled foolscrap pad + 1 free pad from engin camp + 1 free pad from the freshmen ceremony. Since Popular was(it is over since all the popular stores were closed at the time of writing) having a 20% discount on the 9th and 10th of August(courtesy of chee), might as well stock up on one of the essential supplies for students: paper.

Now to conquer yet another hurdle faced by students: the Z monster that is omnipotent and omnipresent in lectures.

Apart from a chance to look at how big junhao has grown(well i could have another chance at the upcoming sadsignallers@sentosa on 23.07.08), this is an opportunity to meet up with randeep before he flies to aussie.
